Someone told me this just last night about someone they are dating, and I found the sentiment very moving.
" If I died right now, I'd rather my spirit walk by her side, even knowing that I couldn't speak with her or touch her ever again, than move on to wherever souls may go. Just being near her is enough."
Isn't that what we all really want?

Yeah, but is a spirit following her around for the rest of her life what SHE'd really want?
Does it matter? If she feels the same way, why wouldn't she? If she doesn't feel the same way, why are they together in the first place?
i can tell you now i do not want jim following me around on earth for the years i outlive him. a) i'll be boring when i'm 90, b) what if i find someone else? then he's stuck watching me swap dentures with another man and c) that's creepy
if there is a heaven i want my loved ones in eternal happiness, not hanging around with me!
